![]() ![]() I dont have the problem in other games, only rocket league. I have started to re-learn the muscle memory now with the PS4 controller, i wount change back to Xbox (i prefer the xbox controller if i must chose one) before i know there is fix for this. Its for real and it has to do with the Xbox controller. So its not in our heads as many says regarding heavy car bug etc. Psyonix or Steam must try to sort this ♥♥♥♥ soon, i think way more people then us have this problem. So something is up with the Xbox controller (i have been using 3 different controllers and Pro models from Xbox, and its all the same with all of them and rocket league) I have bought 3 new PC rigs becourse of that (yes im crazy, but have the money) but it has cost me a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fortune.Ī couple of days ago i plugged in a PS4 controller. Same for me, i have had this problem for 3 years, so happy to see that other has it aswell. Does anyone have a DEFINIITE solution just like turning off McAfee to prevent alpha console and rocket league from crashing? I've spent way over $10k total trying to fix this problem. i9, 2080ti, 32 GB of RAM, Ethernet, quantum fios, vsync off, OneFrameThreadLag is off as well. This is the one game I've ever stuck with and the problem is still here. Ultimately, I literally can't figure this problem out and I've dropped from champ 2, to diamond 1 because of this and I'm very depressed. Start>Devices and Printers(right hand side of Start Menu)>Right-click controller for Game Controller Settings>Properties You can see the input map of your controller via the controller properties found in the Devices and Printers window. I'll give the event viewer a look that is a good idea. Where would i go for the controller's properties that you mentioned? As far as i know that is a Win10 feature (or so i've been told). Others aren't really that easy to find, and I've found it much more time efficient to just bite the bullet and reinstall the OS - this would prove without a doubt that it's not software related on your end, which is what the issue sounds like to me. I've self-diagnosed a few similar issues over the years this way. (Not saying that you will - it's just a test scenario.) If you can see it lag here, then it's definitely on your end. Have you only noticed this in Rocket League or does it occur in other games as well? Assuming you're on Windows, you can open the controller's properties and watch a realtime map of the input as you move the controls. ![]() Originally posted by Gila:These types of problems are sometimes almost impossible to trace down. While you're there, dig around and see if any system errors could be related. The input lag sounds intermittent to me, is that correct? If you're using Windows, you *may* be able to go into Event Viewer (I'm running Win7, so it may be called differently on a different platform) and look at what services and events are triggering and the timestamps that they start/stop and see if that correlates to the instances of intermittent lag-spikes that you see. These types of problems are sometimes almost impossible to trace down. ![]()
